Title: Ventilation Surveyor – Training Provided
Location: Must be based in region, Southwest (ideally between Gloucester and Bristol)
(Company Name - Subscribers only) manufacture, through the Volution Group plc, a full range of domestic mechanical ventilation systems specifically designed for the Social Housing and Local Authority market.
Job profile:
The Ventilation Surveyor will be responsible for fulfilling Social Housing Property Surveys, and providing the necessary reports and recommendations for appropriate ventilation products and services to eradicate issues within tenants properties. ( This role does not require chartered surveyor status, training will be provided).
The role will require you to travel within your designated region, complete up to 6 inspections a day, and inform tenants of your recommendations.
The role would suit someone with similar experience within surveyor/ inspection/ maintenance, or someone with the willingness to learn, who would enjoy working in a customer facing role, and is able to travel extensively within this region. All necessary training program and guidance will be provided.
As a Ventilation Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:
- Presenting the company’s products and services in a professional structured manner to tenants to ensure they are engaged in the process
- Work in-line with the Regional Sales Manager for the area, to make sure we are delivering a solution that will work for the housing provider
- To make sure you have a good understanding of the company products and services
- To communicate with all necessary departments within the (Company Name - Subscribers only) brand in a clear and timely manner.
- To carry out property surveys for accurate quotations to be submitted to customers within targeted time periods.
- Provide a daily update to the scheduling team of completed surveys
- Able to learn have an acceptable understanding of building regulations, information papers and other legislation that are specific to the industry
To be successful in this role you will need:
- 1-3 years of relevant Surveying experience or willingness to learn process and technical aspects of the role.
- Grasps technical issues easily and can deliver solutions to suit the customers’ needs.
- Territory management: needs a structured approach to ensure all surveys are carried out in a timely manner
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapts to meet changing needs and circumstances.
- Strong communication skills to be able to speak with tenants in a professional manner
- Can work in a range of conditions to complete surveys including small tight spaces, lofts etc.
- Manual Driver’s License – extensive travelling involved, and occasional overnight stays may be required.
- DBS check prior to joining
