We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Transport / Office Manager The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing logistics, ensuring compliance with regulations, and optimising transport processes and also for the office. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including drivers, clients, and office workers.

The key responsibilities are as follows:

  • To ensure vehicle gets delivered to customers on time.
  • Arranging drivers / delivery companies for the deliveries of vehicles.
  • To monitor and report on availability and movements, highlighting potential problems.
  • Ensuring that vehicles are maintained and licensed in accordance with relevant legislation.
  • To report any defect in vehicles Prior to delivery.
  • Ensure all customer orders are planned efficiently with a high level of customer service and attention to safety and compliance.
  • Deal with relevant enquiries in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of transport activities and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Answers Customer calls / Enquiries and bookings.
  • Order office supplies
  • Make Rota for workers
  • Provide administrative support, including clerical tasks and human resources functions.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • A proven and effective manager of people and resources, with excellent organisational and problem solving skills.
  • Resilience and the ability to adapt quickly to last minute changes in a very fast paced environment
  • The person must be prepared to take responsibility and to be held accountable.
  • Strong communication skills, with an ability to focus on specific customer delivery restrictions and requirements.
  • Attention to detail
  • Tenacity to bring problems to a satisfactory conclusion
  • Extensive experience of plant and efficient route planning.
  • Computer literate
  • Good written English and Numeracy skills.

Working Schedule:

Monday – Friday

35 Hours Per Week Pro Rota

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,204.00 per year
