JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Analyse customer requirements, customer reactions to a product, packaging, price, etc.;
- coordinates with other senior staff to determine the range of products to be sold; contributes to the development of sales strategies and setting of sales targets;
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Lead a team and assign targets and monitor team performance.
- Possess a deep understanding of the products sold by the business and be able to effectively communicate their benefits to potential customers.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify opportunities and challenges.
- Gathers and evaluates sales data, creates plans for sales and marketing initiatives, promotional initiatives, and does market research;
- Reach out to existing customers with new product lines and take orders.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, prepare sales reports, and provide regular updates to management.
- Keep up with developments in the product and makes suggestions for potential enhancements
- Quotes prices, credit information, delivery schedules, payment plans, and ensure timely delivery of products to the customer by liaising with management.
- Reach out to customer’s business place to take orders and ensure stock is replenished and gain feedback for the enhancement of customer service.
- Building trusting connections with our customers, suppliers (internally and externally), and field sales staff will also be crucial to your success in this position.
- Train Junior Employees where required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience
- Have a good understanding of South Asian grocery, food and bakery products.
- Track record of guiding sales from strategy to close.
- Proven ability of originality and creativity.
- Strong computer literacy and PowerPoint skills.
- The capacity to interact, present, and persuade at all organisational levels.
- Knowledge of customer service.
- Extensive familiarity with contemporary tools and strategies for sales and marketing.
- Able to meet with clients outside of regular office hours and attend events and festivities.
- Ability to speak Urdu/Hindi and Punjabi to effectively communicate with the clients/customers is an essential requirement.
