Are you passionate about patient care and looking to make a real difference in a fast-paced, supportive environment? We are seeking 2 dedicatedBand 3 Healthcare Assistantsto join our dynamic Recovery Unit team.

As a Healthcare Assistant in our Recovery Unit, you will play a vital role in supporting patients during their immediate post-operative period. Working closely with nurses, anesthetists, and the wider surgical team, you will ensure the highest standards of care and comfort are provided to every patient.

Assist in monitoring patients vital signs and post-operative recovery.

Provide personal care, ensuring patients comfort, dignity, and hygiene needs are met.

Support patients with mobility, including safe transfers

Observe and report any changes in patients condition to the nursing team

Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and sterile environment.

Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families during recovery.

Accurately maintain patient records and documentation.

Main duties of the job

A Band 3 HCA in a recovery unit plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth transition of patients from anesthesia to a stable state, ready for ward transfer or discharge. They provide hands-on care, monitor for complications, and support the clinical team in maintaining patient safety and comfort.
