Staff Nurse – Haematology and Oncology Daycare: (Company Name - Subscribers only)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Haematology & Oncology Daycare team.
This busy ambulatory care unit provides therapies including chemotherapy, apheresis, and triage for children and young people under the Principal Treatment Centre. You’ll also gain experience in caring for patients undergoing stem cell transplantation and those with non-malignant haematology conditions.
We provide comprehensive training in central venous access device care and chemotherapy administration, along with valuable experience in outpatient-focused care. You’ll also benefit from the support of a dedicated Clinical Education Team and have access to ongoing professional development opportunities to help you grow in your role.
About You
- Current registration with NMC
- Enhanced clinical skills or willingness to develop in central venous access device care, intravenous medication administration, blood product administration.
- Professional, compassionate, and committed to personal and service development.
Main duties of the job
Reporting into the Clinical Educator, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Deliver skilled nursing care independently, in line with the NMC Code of Conduct.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate care for an allocated patient group, using prioritisation and delegation skills.
- Act as an advocate for patients and ensure high standards of care.
- Support the development of nursing practice, including supervising junior staff.
- Contribute to managing and developing the Unit.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide seamless, holistic care.
