We proudly combine advanced ultrasound technology with a personalised approach to care. Having recently undergone refurbishments we are now the largest dedicated private Ultrasound clinic in Ireland utilising the newest Samsung and GE machines.

Our clinic is staffed by CORU-registered sonographers working where necessary with consultant radiologists registered with the Irish Medical Council. We provide a wide range of ultrasound services for women, men, and children aged 2 years and above, with a strong focus on obstetric and gynaecological imaging.

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Sonographer with a strong background in obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound to join our growing team on a permanent full-time basis.
This role is ideally suited to a sonographer who values autonomy, clinical accuracy, and meaningful patient interaction. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality obstetric and gynaecological scans, while contributing to a collaborative, supportive clinical environment.
Perform high-quality obstetric and gynae ultrasound examinations, including:
Early pregnancy, Gender, Reassurance & 3D/4D scans (3D/4D training can be provided)
Perform pelvic and other ultrasound examinations where possible in line with referral indications
Acquire and optimise diagnostic-quality images independently
Ensure accurate clinical documentation and image labelling
Work with consultant radiologists to support high-quality reporting
Communicate findings clearly and sensitively within scope of practice
Deliver exceptional patient care, particularly for anxious or early-pregnancy patients
Maintain patient dignity, privacy, and comfort at all times
Adhere to all clinical protocols, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements
Contribute to continuous service improvement and quality initiatives
Support a positive team culture aligned with Ultrascan’s values
About you:
You are a motivated, patient-focused sonographer who takes pride in clinical quality and professional standards. You are confident working independently while valuing collaboration with colleagues and referrers.
Essential Requirements:
Qualification in Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound
Current CORU registration or in process of registering
Proven experience in obstetric ultrasound
Experience in gynaecological ultrasound
Ability to perform scans independently to a high clinical standard
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
