Social Care Worker – Athlone Community & Youth Support | Westmeath
(Company Name - Subscribers only) is hiring a Social Care Worker to support young people under 18 and their families affected by substance and alcohol misuse in a community-based healthcare service in Athlone.
This is a meaningful front-line role focused on recovery, wellbeing and resilience.
Work pattern:
1 day per week in Athlone
1 day per week in Mullingar
What You’ll Do
Support young people through person-centred care
Work with families affected by addiction
Develop and review individual support plans
Liaise with CAMHS, Tusla, schools, GPs and youth services
Maintain clear, confidential case notes
Follow Children First and safeguarding procedures
What You’ll Need
Level 7 qualification (Social Care, Counselling, Psychology or related)
Experience in community, youth or social care settings
Strong communication and empathy
Knowledge of child protection guidelines
Legal right to work in Irelan
Garda Vetting is mandatory for relevant roles.
International Police Clearance is required where a candidate has lived or worked outside Ireland for 6 months or more since the age of 16
Driving licence and transport desirable
Pay & Benefits
€19.70 per hour
