Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to provide compassionate support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting with daily activities, ensuring the wellbeing of clients, and supporting care plans. Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
  • Support the implementation of individualised care plans under supervision
  • Help with meal preparation and feeding as required
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in client condition
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure high-quality care
  • Support clients with medication reminders and basic health monitoring
  • Drive or accompany clients to appointments or outings when necessary
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment adhering to health and safety regulations

Experience

  • Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
  • Knowledge of care plans and basic IT systems for record keeping is advantageous
  • Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate client transportation or errands
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently when required
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate records and following care protocols

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £12.82-£13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
