Your day-to-day ownership stretches from concept through to the factory floor. You will create 3D models, detailed manufacturing drawings, and the calculations that guide fabrication and assembly. Non-Negotiables

  • You must hold a university degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Marine Engineering
  • You have at least five years of hands-on experience designing mechanical systems for a production environment
  • You can demonstrate a track record of delivering designs from concept to production within marine, offshore, or wind energy
  • You are proficient in Siemens NX, Inventor, or a comparable 3D CAD tool, with a focus on manufacturing drawings
  • You possess deep knowledge of Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) and have used it to cut cost and improve producibility
  • You bring practical experience with fabrication, welding, and large structural assemblies

Responsibilities

  • You will take ownership of the mechanical design and delivery of assigned subsystems from concept through to manufacturing release
  • You will produce 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and supporting calculations that guide fabrication and assembly
  • You will drive manufacturability and production readiness by applying DFMA principles and continuous improvement techniques
  • You will resolve design issues quickly when they arise from manufacturing feedback or supplier inputs, keeping builds on schedule
  • You will serve as the primary engineering interface with international suppliers, aligning their output with project milestones
  • You will mentor junior engineers and review their work to maintain technical quality and delivery standards
  • You will champion high standards of engineering integrity, safety, and sustainability across every subsystem you touch

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency or partial fluency in Mandarin is a strong advantage for building relationships with manufacturing partners in China
