We are seeking to recruit a motivated administrator to join our friendly, supportive and hardworking team in the Radiology Admin team at Cumberland infirmary
The successful candidate will be required to provide administrative support within the Radiology Admin Office, which includes dealing with alerts , managing patient appointments, answering patient enquiries, image and medical records handling, use of computers and data input. The post involves liaising with many (Company Name - Subscribers only) professionals, support staff and the general public to ensure an efficient and effective service. You will be a cheerful, versatile and helpful team-worker, literate and methodical, with excellent communication skills, able to relate well to people and put them at ease.
A proven ability to engage with a broad spectrum of staff at all levels and experience in the use of Information Management / Technology systems is essential. Candidates must be highly organised, with exceptional communication skills and excellent attention to detail. We positively support personal development for all colleagues across the department.
Main duties of the job
Working in the secretaries office in the main radiology department to provide administrative support to the current secretarial team.
Responsible for organising own workload and prioritising under the guidance of the radiology secretaries.
Dealing with patients and clinicians via the telephone, face to face and email.
Ensure referrals are dealt with quickly and efficiently to ensure appointments are allocated within all target times.
Cancel appointments as required, ensuring patients are seen within an appropriate timescale.
