Practice Educator – Gynaecology: (Company Name - Subscribers only)

22.5 Hours per week over 3 days

We are excited to announce an exciting opportunity for a band 6 Clinical Educator to join the current team in Gynaecology.

In collaboration with the Lead Nurse, you will coordinate, plan and deliver inpatient and outpatient Gynaecology care education programmes and initiatives to the unit. The post holder will facilitate the development of clinical staff in the assessment and safe delivery of care for all patients, ensuring safe methods of practice are maintained throughout the team. The post holder will be able to act as an effective clinical leader and role model to enhance the clinical competence and improve the fundamentals of care within the Gynaecology inpatient and outpatient setting.

Main duties of the job

In conjunction with the education team, you will develop, deliver and evaluate educational programmes for new and existing nursing staff and nursing assistants within Gynaecology care. The post holder will be integral in the promotion of an environment that encourages learning and sustains the personal and professional development of staff. In collaboration with the Lead Nurse, you will coordinate the supervision assessment and development of clinical skills of the nursing team
