Paediatric Retrieval Nurse: (Company Name - Subscribers only)

The ScotSTAR Paediatric Retrieval Service (SPRS) is an integral component of the Specialist Transport and Retrieval Service for Scotland – ScotSTAR.

ScotSTAR encompasses the Scottish Neonatal Transport Service, the Scottish Paediatric Retrieval Service, the Emergency Medical Retrieval Service (EMRS), and the Air Ambulance Service. Managed by the Scottish Ambulance Service, ScotSTAR facilitates approximately 4,000 patient transfers annually. The majority of these transfers are conducted using dedicated road ambulances, with a smaller proportion utilising fixed-wing and rotary aircraft provided by the Air Ambulance Service. Our multidisciplinary teams consist of highly skilled Paediatric Retrieval Nurses, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Paediatric Retrieval Fellows, and Paediatric Retrieval Consultants.

We are seeking to expand our Paediatric Team and invite applications from enthusiastic and committed individuals for the position of Band 6 Paediatric Retrieval Nurse. This is an 18 month fixed term position. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exemplary care to children and their families during critical transfers. Applicants should possess significant experience in paediatric intensive care; prior retrieval experience is desirable. This vacancy is open to Registered Nurses from both adult and child branches.

The role is based at Glasgow Airport.
