Job Mechanical Fitter/EngineerCompany: United UtilitiesLocation: Mersey Valley Processing Centre , WA8 0WBPay Rates: £147.56 per day (7.4 hours per day)Overtime is paid Saturdays at 1.5 and Sunday’s double time Contract length: 6 months rolling with a long-term view to go into a perm positionDay to day responsibilities will include:Working in and around the Mersey Valley processing Centre on mechanical maintenance of the company assets Preventative and reactive Mechanical maintenance on Mechanical assetsRebuilding shafts and motors Replacing bearings Lifting and unblocking pipesTesting and commission post installationRefurbishment and upgrading of older systemsOften working outside no matter what the weather (full kit provided)Operating hand, power tools & heavy equipment Ensuring that your workspace is maintainedChecking that the quality of your work is to the standard expectedWorking from drawings and job specifications on each jobLiaising with both HQ and the customer when onsiteCompleting paperwork as requiredRequirements:Minimum level 3 in engineering or equivalent 12 months plus Mechanical Engineering hands on experience A valid UK working visa (sponsorship is NOT provide with this role).To be considered for this role, please forward an up-to-date CV.
