At Urban Front, we design and handcraft high-end, natural hardwood and metallic-coated doors. These aren’t ordinary doors. They’re fully bespoke, often oversized and very exclusive. Every detail matters and we pride ourselves on delivering the best-of-the-best in fine craftsmanship.
We now have a fantastic opportunity for somebody who is looking to start their career in door manufacturing and get initial training on Woodworking.
What you’ll be doing:
As our Manufacturing Technician you’ll play an important role working on all aspects of Door Production alongside a small joinery team.
You’ll have the chance to get hands-on experience with woodworking as your main task and training, joinery, assembly, spraying and other useful, practical jobs that will enhance your capabilities. You’ll also build knowledge on the technical side of the manufacturing process, including learning about CAD drawings, materials and how specifications are developed and used.
Our experienced team will guide you through an introduction programme, giving you all the skills you’ll need to go on to build a strong career in Door Manufacturing, joinery, and carpentry.
What we’re looking for:
We’re here to share our experience and welcome applications from anyone who is:
- 3 Years minimum experience in wood machining, Joinery and Carpentry or similar hand work experience.
- Technically minded – If you consider yourself good at hand work, DIY, using hand tools
- Enthusiastic – if you enjoy working with your hands (or even just the idea of it) and love being active in your day-to-day life, then this could be just the opportunity you’re after
- Confident – you’ll be working with various hand tools and wood machinery so you’ll need to feel comfortable with this type of work which includes carpentry, joinery, spraying (don’t worry, we’ll help you to safely learn the ropes if you haven’t worked with them before)
- Willing to get stuck in – we’re a small, friendly team that looks out for each other and works together to get the best results
Normal working hours are 7am – 4pm Monday – Friday, which includes an hour for lunch.

- A salary offer of £28000 to £32000pa Depending on Experience
