Intercompany Supply Chain Buyer Planner: (Company Name - Subscribers only)

Position Summary

Responsible for sourcing stock from Bio-Techne internal brands and maintaining EMEA inventory to support the regional customer base. The role manages and optimises inventory levels to meet customer requirements, reduce lead times, and minimise back orders through collaboration with global manufacturing sites, supporting an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers by assessing capabilities, quality, delivery, and capacity.
Prepare RFQs, statements of work, and bidder lists.
Negotiate pricing, delivery, quality, and service terms. Issue and administer purchase orders and contracts, including international suppliers, and maintain accurate lead times.
Develop alternative supply sources to mitigate risk.
Monitor supplier performance, resolve delivery or quality issues, manage claims, returns, cancellations, and engineering changes.
Prepare reports and analyses to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
Contribute to special projects, process improvements, and ensure compliance with company, government, and industry requirements.
Provide leadership within the department, act as a key contact on projects, and mentor less experienced colleagues.

Candidate Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; experience in buying or planning within supply chain or life sciences.
Strong analytical, communication, and ERP skills (e.g., Dynamics 365) required.
Experience with specialist or custom components in low- to mid-volume manufacturing preferred.
Proactive team player with proven customer support, negotiation, and process improvement skills.
Fluent English; additional languages advantageous.
