Role Summary:
Dawn Meats Group is one of Europe’s leading beef and lamb processing companies with locations across Ireland, UK, France and continental Europe employing over 8,000 employees.
Dawn Meats currently have a vacancy for an Instrumentation Technician to assist in the day to day running and maintenance of our production facilities.

The successful candidate will be based at our Western Proteins production plant in Ballyhaunis Co. Mayo and their duties will include:
– Regularly maintain and calibrate production machinery and control systems to ensure accurate and reliable operation.
– Diagnose and repair instrumentation and control system malfunctions to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production.
– Install new instrumentation and control systems, and upgrade existing systems to improve efficiency and productivity.
– Ensure all instrumentation and control systems comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
– Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and calibrations, and prepare reports as required.

Your role will see you tackle a wide range of business challenges in a busy production environment.
The ideal Candidate will have or demonstrate:
– Experience with industrial instrumentation installation and maintenance
– Calibration of pressure, temperature, level, and analytical equipment
– Technical knowledge of instrumentation and chemical dosing would be an advantage.
– Ability to trouble shoot faults.
– Good communication skills as you will be interacting with clients and colleagues on a regular basis.
– Good computer skills.
– A minimum Level 4 NFQ qualification in Instrumentation or Electrical Technology or similar.
