Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to individuals in their home’s care settings, assisting with daily activities and ensuring their well-being. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives while working within a supportive and professional environment. The position is paid, and prior experience in healthcare is advantageous but not mandatory, as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care routines, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times
  • Help with meal preparation and feeding as required
  • Maintain accurate care plans tailored to individual needs
  • Monitor and report on clients’ health status and any changes in behaviour or condition
  • Support clients in engaging in social activities and maintaining independence
  • Document care activities accurately using IT systems
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care delivery
  • Drive or accompany clients for appointments or outings when necessary

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
  • Valid driving licence is required as there is driving to and from clients premises and the role also involves transportation of clients
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken
  • Strong IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
  • Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients and team members
  • Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Reliable, organised, and attentive to detail
  • Flexible as the working patterns vary.

Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
