Finance & Accounts Analyst: (Company Name - Subscribers only)

Primary Responsibilities:
? Support balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and subsidiary ledgers, ensuring financial data accuracy in line with accounting standards and internal governance requirements.
? Assist with year-end accounts preparation, external audit coordination, and audit documentation while supporting internal control processes and corporate governance standards.
? Prepare VAT returns, PAYE submissions, and other statutory filings, process monthly Revenue returns, and ensure ongoing Revenue ROS compliance.
? Liaise with payroll providers, support payroll reconciliations, and assist clients with employer obligations and payroll processing.
? Support our finance function by preparing monthly management accounts, financial reports, variance analysis, and cost analytics to assist senior management with commercial decision-making and operational planning.
? Support finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives, conduct financial research and data gathering for commercial projects, and prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management.
? Support budgeting, forecasting, audit preparation, and system improvements while contributing to stronger financial governance and operational efficiency across retail and B2B channels.
? Analyse financial performance across retail operations, identifying trends, risks, and improvement opportunities while supporting budgeting and forecasting through financial projections and scenario analysis.
? Provide financial insights to guide operational strategy, cost optimisation, and investment decisions, while identifying process improvements and efficiency opportunities across finance and business operations.
? Prepare documentation for internal and external audits and assist with compliance requirements under Irish financial regulations.
? Manage bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records using Sage Accounts, Bright Accounts, and Dext.
? Play a key role in strengthening financial controls, improving working capital management, and supporting business growth through analytical finance support and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications and Experience:
? Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or equivalent.
? Strong academic grounding in accounting, financial reporting, taxation, audit, and strategic financial management.
? Part-qualified or studying toward ACCA / ACA / CIMA (desirable).
? Previous experience in similar roles such as Trainee Accountant or Finance Analyst.
? High attention to detail and strong Excel and financial systems capability.
? Ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights clearly to management.
Working Hours: 39 Hours Per week
Annual Salary: 40000
Hourly Rate: €19.72
