Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Counter Staff member to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all patrons. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food service within a fast-paced setting, contributing to the overall success of our establishment.

Responsibilities

• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently at the counter
• Prepare and assemble food items in accordance with health and safety standards
• Serve customers with a friendly and professional attitude
• Handle cash transactions and operate the till system with basic maths skills
• Maintain cleanliness of the counter area, including sanitising surfaces and utensils
• Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities
• Ensure food safety procedures are followed at all times
• Assist in organising stock levels and restocking supplies as needed
• Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks when required

Experience

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not essential
• Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling
• Experience in serving customers with excellent communication skills
• Familiarity with basic maths for cash handling and order processing
• Kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous but not mandatory
• Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude

Job Types: Full-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: From £24,420.00 per year
