Community Employment (CE) Scheme Supervisor: (Company Name - Subscribers only)

Role Overview: The CE Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Hook Rural Tourism CE scheme and to manage the participants in implementing the business of Hook Tourism and the policies and strategies for the development of the business set by the Board of Directors. As CE Scheme Supervisor the candidate is responsible for overseeing a work experience and training programme for those who are long term unemployed, aiming to progress participants on to employment or education. Hook Tourism is a community organisation on the Hook Peninsula whose CE Scheme aims to upskill participants specifically in areas relating to project management, finance, tourism, environment and horticulture. Projects delivered on by CE participants contribute to our organisation’s objective of promoting and developing the Hook Peninsula as a premier tourist destination and in turn improving the local economy for all residents.

Essential Experience:
3 years’ experience in a management or supervisory role.
NFQ level 6 or higher in a related discipline; i.e. Management, Finance or Marketing.
Experience delivering training; on the job or classroom based.
Extensive administrative experience using MS Office applications.
Budget management and reporting experience.
Experience leading events or projects of scale with experience across all areas from conception to evaluation.

Desirable Experience:
Educated to degree level in a relevant area; i.e. management, Finance or Marketing.
Experience of networking and relationship building.
Experience supporting those who are long term unemployed to upskill and progress to employment or education.
Experience overseeing the development of multi-faceted project management or promotional campaigns, maximising value for money.

Essential Skills:
Learner focused with an empathetic approach to supporting participants’ development.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Highly proficient in all MS Office applications and WordPress.
Self-motivated with the proven ability to effectively manage own workload.
Quality driven across all areas of work.
Proven ability to build effective cross organisational relationships.

The successful candidate will have a full driver’s license, access to own transport and be fluent in English.
