2 Full Time WTE Clinical Teaching Fellow (CTF) post

We are looking for enthusiastic doctors with an interest in Medical Education who wish to develop this area further as a Clinical Teaching Fellow (CTF)

Main duties of the job

Clinical Teaching Fellows are an integral part of the Undergraduate Teaching Academy for the development and delivery of teaching to medical students from both Aston University (AMS) and University of Birmingham (UoB).

In addition, CTFs will be supported to complete a certificate in postgraduate medical education (PGCME) or equivalent during the post (if desired).

The post-holder will be hospital-based, and the clinical teaching will take place at Sandwell Health Campus (SGH) and our new Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH).

The posts will suit doctors seeking to develop teaching skills and further their clinical interests before entering Core or Higher Specialist Training.A minimum of 2 years’ postgraduate experience (completion of Foundation Programme training) is required.The post will be for six months,starting 5thFebruary 2025. The CTFs work as a team to provideward and simulation-based teaching, as well as mentorship to groups of students.
