Clinical Receptionist and Booking Clerk – Clinical Therapies: (Company Name - Subscribers only)

This role is based within our Clinical Therapies Admin Team at Retford Primary care centre.

A flexible approach to work is an essential part of the post, in line with Clinical Therapies Service Policy.

The Clinical Therapies Department is fully committed to effective appraisal and any training and development will be actively encouraged and supported.

Working with a team of highly committed staff, to provide a first class and effective reception and booking service within Clinical Therapies.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide administrative/reception service support to facilitate the patient pathway
  • Work flexibly across services to provide a booking service, process clinic changes, call centre cover, processing of referrals and undertaking a range of general admin tasks
  • Build and maintain close working relationships across the clinical administrative teams, using Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to ensure functions of the role are carried out correctly and within given timescales.
  • Ensure accurate data recording using SystmOne and E-referral and other systems; and via the use of Patient Tracking Lists (PTLs) book outpatient/inpatient events in accordance with clinical instruction and national/local waiting time target dates.

  • Previous experience working in a clinical/administrative role
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word
  • Commitment to undergo training into RTT national and local waiting time rules

Desirable

  • Previous hospital or (Company Name - Subscribers only) experience working in a clerical/administrative role
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Knowledge and understanding of RTT National and local waiting time rules
  • Knowledge of Trust Policies, including Patient Access Policy
