Westside Leisure (Hungry Hippo Cork) is a well-established restaurant located in the heart of Cork City
With over 6 years in operation, the company is known for its warm atmosphere, freshly prepared meals, and
commitment to providing fast, high-quality food with a homely touch.
We are now seeking a motivated and skilled Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team.

Main Responsibilities

Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a consistently high standard.
Manage your assigned kitchen section efficiently and maintain food quality control.
Assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef with daily kitchen operations and menu development.
Ensure compliance with HACCP and health & safety regulations.
Monitor portion sizes, stock levels, and minimise food waste.
Keep your workstation clean, organised, and compliant with hygiene standards.
Contribute to menu creativity and seasonal specials.

Candidate Profile

Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role, preferably in a seafood or fine dining
environment.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and presentation techniques.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards.
Understanding of HACCP and kitchen safety practices.
Must be available to work 39 hours per week.
