Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management, with a flair for creating delicious West African dishes that delight our guests. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation while leading and supervising kitchen staff in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Duties

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to the restaurant’s menu and standards.
• Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations.
• Manage food preparation processes, including portion control and presentation.
• Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and seasonal specials.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.
• Assist in training new kitchen staff, fostering an environment of teamwork and collaboration.
• Monitor inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen management practices.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.
• A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes that enhance the dining experience.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: £11.44-£15.45 per hour
