(Company Name - Subscribers only) is recruiting a Catering Officer Grade 2 to support the management of catering services within a large healthcare facility in Dublin 1.
This is a senior support role within healthcare catering management, assisting with day-to-day service delivery, staff supervision and compliance in a regulated hospital environment where food quality, hygiene and nutrition directly support patient care.
The role suits candidates with experience in hospital catering, healthcare food services or large-scale institutional catering, who are ready to step into a structured leadership position within a people-first healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
Support daily healthcare catering operations, ensuring smooth service delivery
Assist with supervision, rostering, training and support of catering staff
Maintain full compliance with HACCP, food safety and hygiene regulations
Support menu planning and meal service aligned with clinical and nutritional requirements
Assist with stock control, ordering and supplier coordination
Maintain accurate records and support audits, inspections and quality checks
Promote positive communication and teamwork across catering, nursing and support teams
Uphold high standards of hygiene, organisation and service quality
Requirements
Recognised qualification in Hotel, Catering, Institutional Management or Dietetics (Degree, Diploma or Certificate)
Minimum 1 year’s experience assisting in catering operations for an institution serving 200+ people daily
OR
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory catering role
Strong working knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene standards
Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently while supporting wider catering teams
Legal right to work in Ireland
Garda Vetting is mandatory for relevant roles.
International Police Clearance is required where a candidate has lived or worked outside Ireland for 6 months or more since the age of 16
Salary & Benefits
€25.25 per hour
Double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays
Daytime hours only – no night shifts
