Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated carpenter to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to an exciting construction project, utilizing a broad skill set that spans carpentry, timber framing, architectural cladding and more. You will play a vital role in ensuring quality craftsmanship, safety, and efficiency throughout the project. Your expertise will help deliver an outstanding development over a 12 month period, creating a world class staycation resort in the West Oxfordshire area.

Responsibilities

  • Execute carpentry, including; trim, frame, timber floors, cladding, doors, skirting etc with precision using hand tools and power tools
  • Handle heavy lifting safely while maintaining adherence to safety protocols on construction sites
  • Working in teams of 2 or 4 in a professional environment

Skills

  • Proficiency in trim carpentry, framing carpentry and woodworking techniques
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools (saws, hammers, chisels) and power tools (drills, saws) safely and effectively
  • Knowledge of roofing systems including shingle installation and waterproofing methods
  • Ability to read plans
  • Capable of heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards; physically fit for demanding tasks on-site
  • Attention to detail
  • Familiarity with fixture installation
  • Skilled in construction application for exterior projects
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to fabrication or assembly
  • Completion of an apprentachip programme would be advantageous

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
