Job Role: Care Assistant

Contract: Full-Time – Fixed Term (38.5 hrs) including weekends.

Hours: 12-hour shifts (Days or Nights)

Salary: £12.30 to £12.82 (Depending on Qualifications and Experience)

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience:

Minimum 6 months or more of paid work experience as a carer in the UK.

  • Qualification:

Candidates not from a medical or health background must be:

  • Enrolled in or holding a Basic Care Certification, or
  • Enrolled in or holding an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care

at the time of applying.

  • Visa Validity:

Applicants must have at least 1 year of visa validity remaining when submitting their application.

  • Compliance & Evidence:

Candidates must be willing to provide documentation to verify past employment and demonstrate that they have not breached UKVI supplementary work hour restrictions during their time as a student visa.

Sponsorship Consideration

Cedar Care Home is committed to supporting career progression and offers a clear pathway toward sponsorship under two routes:

A) Early Consideration:
Candidates who progress into a higher-level role while on their PSW/Graduate Route visa may become eligible for early processing toward sponsorship.

B) Standard Consideration:
Sponsorship may be considered during the final quarter of the candidate’s current PSW/Graduate Route visa period.

  • Limited Accommodation Provided:

Due to the limited availability of staff accommodation, we are able to offer paid accommodation to successfully interviewed candidates who are willing to relocate on a first-come, first-served basis.
