We are seeking a motivated, reliable, and skilled Car Mechanic / Vehicle Technician to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a range of vehicles, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You will play an important role in keeping vehicles reliable, roadworthy, and performing at their best.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine vehicle servicing, inspections, and maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
• Repair and replace vehicle components including brakes, suspension, steering, exhaust systems, clutches, engines, and transmissions.
• Carry out oil changes, filter replacements, brake servicing, tyre checks, and other preventative maintenance.
• Use hand tools, power tools, vehicle lifts, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
• Identify potential faults and recommend appropriate repairs.
• Complete all work to a high standard while maintaining attention to detail.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, parts used, and servicing completed.
• Follow all workshop health and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a Car Mechanic, Vehicle Technician, or Automotive Technician.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair vehicle faults efficiently.
• Competent use of automotive tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Good knowledge of brakes, suspension, steering, engines, transmissions, exhausts, and electrical systems.
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to health and safety and high-quality workmanship.
• Relevant automotive qualifications such as IMI, NVQ, or City & Guilds are desirable.
