Automotive Spray Painter – VISA Sponsore – (Company Name - Subscribers only) | Beckton: (Company Name - Subscribers only)

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Vehicle Painter to join the team at our bodyworks. This is one of three key roles we are looking to fill as we build a small, consistent, and highly skilled team. We are also recruiting for a Panel Beater and an MET Technician to work alongside you.

All candidates must be experienced. You will be responsible for preparing and painting vehicles to the highest possible factory-standard finish in our Beckton workshop. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday.

About the Team

We are looking to form a cohesive unit of three experienced professionals:

  • Panel Beater
  • MET Technician (Mechanical, Electrical, and Trim)
  • Vehicle Painter (this role)

We believe a stable, consistent team working together daily is the best way to deliver exceptional quality and efficiency for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking, and filling to achieve a flawless finish.
  • Mix paint to exact specifications and ensure accurate color matching, including blending where required.
  • Apply primers, basecoats, and lacquers using spray-painting equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Operate and maintain spray booths and associated equipment in line with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Work closely with the Panel Beater and MET Technician to ensure a smooth workflow and that vehicles are prepared correctly for paint.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace, adhering to all health and safety regulations.

About You

This role is ideal for an experienced and meticulous Vehicle Painter who takes genuine pride in delivering a perfect finish. You will have a strong eye for detail and a thorough understanding of modern paint systems and techniques.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven, extensive experience as a Vehicle Painter within the accident repair industry. All candidates must be experienced.
  • A recognized qualification in vehicle paint refinishing (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or ATA accreditation) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent color matching and blending skills.
  • The ability to work accurately and efficiently to meet deadlines without compromising on quality.
  • Strong teamwork skills, with the willingness to collaborate closely with the Panel Beater and MET Technician.
  • Own transport is desirable due to our location in Beckton.

Visa Sponsorship Information

We hold a licence to sponsor Skilled Worker visas. However, our preference is to find candidates who are already in the UK, such as former students who have relevant UK-based or international bodyshop experience.

It is essential that candidates are already in the UK so they can attend our Beckton workshop and complete a paid practical trial. We believe this is the fairest and most accurate way to assess the high standard of work we require, rather than relying on remote assessments or video demonstrations.

What We Offer

  • Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
  • Hours: This is a full-time role based on 40 paid hours per week.
  • Schedule: Working Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
  • Location: Work at our well-equipped repair center in Beckton, East London (Unit 18 Gemini Business Park).
  • Team: The opportunity to form part of a dedicated, small team of experienced professionals.

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
