Job Summary
The Assistant Minister plays a vital role in supporting the spiritual and community engagement initiatives of the congregation. This position involves working closely with the lead minister to facilitate worship services, educational programmes, and community outreach activities. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for educating others, excellent communication skills, and a strong ability to connect with diverse groups of people.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and conducting worship services, including leading prayers and readings.
• Educate congregants through various programmes, workshops, and classes that promote spiritual growth and understanding.
• Engage with the community by organising events that foster connection and outreach.
• Provide support during counselling sessions for individuals or families in need.
• Collaborate with church staff and volunteers to ensure smooth operation of church activities.
• Communicate effectively with congregants regarding church events, initiatives, and spiritual guidance.
• Participate in public speaking engagements to represent the church at community events or gatherings.

Skills

• Strong ability to educate others in a clear and engaging manner.
• Proficient in dance or other expressive arts is a plus, enhancing the worship experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively connect with diverse audiences.
• Public speaking experience is essential for leading services and representing the church in various settings.
