=> Responsibilities:
– Perform welding and fabrication tasks
– Assess and identify welding needs for damaged components.
– Utilize techniques like MIG, TIG, and arc welding for metal repairs.
– Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure precise assembly.
– Prepare metal surfaces through cleaning and grinding for optimal welding.
– Select appropriate tools and materials based on repair requirements.
– Safely operate and maintain welding equipment, following safety guidelines.
– Inspect welded joints to meet industry quality standards.
– Collaborate with technicians to determine effective repair methods.
– Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent.
– Prioritise tasks efficiently to meet deadlines.
– Stay informed on new welding techniques and safety practices.

=> Specific Tasks:
– Inspect components of machinery, including frames and hydraulic systems.
– Use MIG or TIG welding to repair or replace damaged parts.
– Ensure proper alignment and fitment of repaired sections.
– Cut and remove damaged parts using cutting torches or plasma cutters.
– Fabricate or modify metal brackets and supports as needed.
– Restore structural integrity of machinery by repairing rusted areas.
