Welder Fabricator join metal parts by welding, brazing and soldering, and cut and remove defects from metal using a variety of equipment and techniques.

The Welder Fabricator’s primary responsibility will be to cut, join, and shape metal and other materials using heat and a range of tools. They will utilize their expertise in welding and metalworking techniques to fabricate metal components, creating structures, machinery, and equipment. Raw materials will be bent, shaped, welded, or cut to complete the final product under their guidance.

The Welder Fabricator’s skills in welding and metalworking are crucial in ensuring the production of high-quality and precise metal products. They will work closely with the engineering and production teams to interpret blueprints, sketches, or other instructions to achieve successful project completion.

=> Welder Fabricator Duties and Responsibilities:
– Cut, join, and shape metal and other materials using various welding techniques and tools, using the appropriate welding equipment such as electric arc, gas torch, etc.;
– Fabricate metal components to create structures, machinery, and equipment;
– Guides electrode or torch along line of weld, burns away damaged areas, and melts brazing alloy or solder into joints;
– Utilize your expertise in welding and metalworking to ensure the production of high-quality and precise metal products;
– Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to interpret blueprints, sketches, or other instructions for project success;
– Oversee the entire fabrication process, from start to finish, to guarantee the final product’s integrity;
– Cleans and smoothes weld;

– Work experience
– Knowledge of operating general metal shop equipment and tools
– Familiarity with executing welding operations compliance to the safety policies
– Ability to use variety of tools and equipment
– Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude
– Ability to read blueprints and recognize welding symbols and specifications
– Knowledge of industry safety practices
