About Us:

MSL Heat Treatment are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to assist with the running of the day to day in a small workshop as well as helping grow the business, based at their Horley site, RH6 9SJ.

MSL Heat Treatment are a company that specialises in vacuum brazing and heat treatment of metal components, formed from the acquisition of CNC Vacuum Processes whose vacuum heat treatment expertise stretches back over 40 years. Operating from our plant just outside Gatwick, we have excellent transport links ideally placing us in easy reach of local and national customers requiring our vacuum heat treatment and brazing processes.
We are part of the (Company Name - Subscribers only) group, with a full manufacturing facility in Staplehurst, Kent equipped with the latest technology.

About the role:
The role requires assisting the team with a allocation of materials, fixtures & fittings. You will also be assisting with the goods-in processes, stocktaking, brazing, and loading and unloading of the furnaces. To be considered for this role you will need to have excellent work ethic, plus be comfortable working within a small team, strong attention to detail, and an adaptable approach, helping colleagues as and when needed.

  • Prepare equipment such as vacuum furnaces and ensure production setting are accurate
  • Assisting with brazing and loading furnaces following processes
  • Assist with ensuring accurate stock system records are maintained
  • Packing and unpacking goods
  • Assisting team members with organising and maintaining stocks of packing materials
  • Assisting keeping warehouse areas clean, tidy and organised
  • Working with line managers to drive business forward with expansion and growth plans
  • Dropping off parts to parent company on occasion
  • Understanding and compliance of Health and Safety regulations to warehouse, production and yard areas as well as those relevant to the role


Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 years transferable experience and keen to learn
  • Computer literate – strong IT skills, ideally ERP system experience
  • Experienced at effectively multi-tasking
  • Attention to detail essential
  • Team player possessing good inter-personal skills with the ability to comminate at all levels
  • Physically fit, due to the fact there is some lifting required in this role and will be on your feet for the majority of the day

Desirable Skills:

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Fork-lift licence (although, training could be available for the right candidate)
  • Worked within an ISO 9001 environment
