A well-established practice in Surrey, are expanding and looking for an experienced, personable Veterinary Surgeon to join a dynamic team on either a full-time or part-time basis!

About the Role: Seeking a vet who is confident in:

  • Sole charge responsibilities
  • Routine consultations
  • General surgery

Your duties will include:

  • Providing high-quality care and consultations to clients and their pets
  • Performing routine surgical and medical cases
  • Sole charge work when required
  • Supporting and mentoring junior staff as needed
  • Working collaboratively with the rest of the veterinary team to deliver excellent patient care

About You:

You’ll be joining a passionate and supportive team consisting of 6 vets, 4 RVNs, 2 student nurses, 4 veterinary care assistants, 5 receptionists, and a practice manager. The team holds a variety of interests, including surgery and exotic pets, with one of their vets, holding a Certificate in Small Animal Medicine.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be approachable and enjoy building strong relationships with clients, patients, and colleagues
  • Be confident in handling routine surgical and medical cases
  • Be comfortable with occasional sole charge duties
  • Enjoy working as part of a collaborative, enthusiastic team

A purpose-built, well-equipped surgery features modern facilities including digital X-ray, ultrasound, blood pressure monitors, ECG, infusion pumps, and pulse oximeters.

Located in Surrey, this site benefits from excellent transport links, just a 20-minute drive or 15-minute direct train ride to Gatwick Airport, and 30 minutes from London by train.

They can offer flexible working hours, with full-time vets working 4 weekdays and participating in a weekend rota of 1 in 5 full weekends and 1 in 5 Saturdays.
