Purovets are looking for an enthusiastic, empathetic, and skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join a small, yet busy team at a small animal practice in southern Lincolnshire. The successful candidate will be confident in all first opinion duties and comfortable with sole charge on occasion. You will be joining a well-established team of 3 Veterinary Surgeons; the role is hugely varied and will include consults and operating daily and caring for a very loyal and friendly client base. This position is split over two sites, with 75% of your time spent at the main branch, however this is negotiable to a certain extent depending on your requirements and personal circumstances.

They are in the fortunate position to be able to offer a mix of rotas to accommodate all working patterns, including working mums and dads with a school friendly rota. For context, their full time rota is 40 hours per week across 4 days, with 1 in 5 Saturdays from 8:30am – 12pm. There are no bank holidays or out-of-hours involved. They know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career, and they want to make it brilliantly easy for you to strike the right balance. Whether you are looking to fix or flex your work patterns, they can find the right solution for you.

Both practices are equipped with digital radiography (recently purchased and upgraded to DR system), ultrasounds, endoscope, and in-house blood testing equipment. They also have good-sized theatres and consult rooms for their varied first opinion cases. Their friendly team comprises of 3 Veterinary Surgeons, 4 experienced Registered Veterinary Nurses, 3 Nursing Assistants, and a full team of Receptionists. They are a very encouraging team who are always willing to step in and work together in times of need, and they work hard to provide the highest standards in client and animal care. The Veterinary Surgeons will always talk through all options of care with their clients to ensure they are making the most informed choices, and they work closely with various referral practices to be able to offer that option if required.

We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is comfortable with sole charge on occasion but also confident in all first opinion duties. You should have good communication skills and be able to listen to both your team and your clients. Animal care should be at the forefront of your mind.

They are situated close to the historic town of Stamford where you can visit Burghley House, Burghley Horse Trials, or Rutland Water, and Peterborough is approximately half an hour away with direct train lines into London.
