UKVI Compliance Officer: (Company Name - Subscribers only)

Location: Bracknell, RG12 1WA

We are currently seeking to appoint a UKVI Compliance Officer to assist students in applying for and maintaining compliance with the requirements of their Student Route visa. This role will be responsible for overseeing the University’s UKVI sponsor licence and will collaborate across departments (Recruitment, Admissions, Registry Services, and Student Affairs) to ensure full institutional compliance with UKVI regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the recruitment office and international agents with training and sharing best practices aligned with UKVI expectations;
  • Supporting the admissions team with admissions criteria assessments, CAS issuance, and conducting credibility interviews when necessary;
  • Collaborating with the registry and student academic team to collect students’ personal information and immigration documentation at the beginning of each academic term;
  • Reporting visa concerns such as non-engagement or poor attendance as required;
  • Providing ongoing support and advice to students regarding visa-related queries, including submitting internship/employment address reports;
  • Staying well-informed on current Home Office regulations and compliance standards;
  • Completing the annual Basic Compliance Assessment (BCA) submission via the Sponsorship Management System (SMS), along with managing sponsor licence updates;
  • Leading a cross-functional working group to ensure that all relevant stakeholders are informed and aligned with UKVI obligations.

Reporting line: This position reports directly to the Centre Head and will involve regular cross-departmental collaboration.

Special Requirements:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of UKVI Student Route visa compliance obligations.

Essential:

  • Experience with Student or Tier 4 visas within a higher education environment;
  • Proven ability to collaborate with colleagues towards strategic goals;
  • Keen attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving approach.

Desirable:

  • Prior experience in a student-facing capacity;
  • Prior experience in a UKVI visa compliance role.
