Band 3 Therapy Assistant – Stroke ( Neurology)
Hull University Teaching Hospitals are seeking to recruit a Band 3 Therapy Assistant to join our diverse team of allied health professionals and support staff who work across a range of clinical specialties within an acute care setting.
The post holder will work in the Stroke (and Neurology) team alongside an established Multi-disciplinary team to support the assessment of need of acute Stroke patients and patients with a range of neurological conditions ,which present with varying degrees of complexity. As a Therapy Assistant you will have direct input the treatment of patients who present within acute care, delivering evidence based interventions to facilitate recover, promote well-being and optimise independent functioning as far as reasonably possible in all areas of life

This role is part- time and does not meet the threshold for Visa sponsorship.
We are looking for an enthusiastic team member to complement our Therapy Service at Hull Royal Infirmary working within Stroke (and Neurology). Although there maybe a requirement to be able to work at any site and within any clinical area within the Trust.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic person to gain experience working as a Therapy Assistant to provide support to Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in carrying out delegated duties. In addition, the post holder will assist in undertaking clerical and administrative duties directly related to patient care including mobility aids, Adaptive equipment and clinical supplies.
A NVQ level 3 in Care or equivalent qualification or experience in a care environment is a prerequisite of this post.
UK care work experience is essential for this post.
The post holder will be required to work 1:5 weekends as part of their normal duty to support a 7 day service.
