Mainline are currently looking to hire a temporary Water Meter Reader. The role presents a great opportunity for the right candidate.
Mainline Group is a leading Engineering solutions provider servicing the Power, Water, Telecom & Energy sectors.
About the Role:
This role is within our Utilities Division, supporting operations nationwide but covering the Galway region covering non-domestic connections. The successful candidate will work on the water meter reading team.
This position requires that an individual be comfortable in a fast-paced work environment, as well as possess excellent problem-solving skills, organisational and communication skills.
Role Responsibilities:
Inspecting, collecting, and documenting readings from water meters.
Checking equipment for damage, faults, unauthorized equipment, or third-party connections.
Activating or deactivating meters as instructed.
Driving a company vehicle.
Communicating with customers to gain access to meters.
Full training will be provided.
What we’re looking for:
Basic IT skills.
Self-starter with honesty and time keeping a paramount requirement.
Full clean driving licence.
Ability to work with high volumes of transactional data.
Pragmatic problem-solving skills.
Able to work systematically within clear guidelines.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work independently and to deadlines.
