Join a leading independent technology and services provider as a Technician 2. Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Customer Engineer to support an onsite IT deployment project. The role involves end-to-end device lifecycle management including deployment, configuration, and support of laptops and peripheral equipment. Engineers will work collaboratively as part of a team of six to ensure seamless device refreshes and user onboarding across multiple sites. Location: Derby (Onsite)Daily Rate: 14.54/hr on PAYE or 18.87/hr on UMBContract Length: 2 MonthsStart Date: 17-Nov-2025 Key Responsibilities Deployment, configuration, set up laptop unpack, 2 customer engineers are required on site.Perform device refresh tasks, perform device build and device wipe tasks. Provide device build completion updates to the Deployment Manager, Update the AMDB (Asset Management Database), configuration and support of equipment. Key Requirements Manage laptop and device handover to multiple users and sites Support printers, scanners, wireless, VPN, etc. IT equipment Install/Move/Add/Change and Disposal (data wipe and end of life support)Provide onsite engineering support for clinic deployments Communicate deployment status Maintain system configurations and documentationTrack and resolve incidents and requests through the client’s ticketing tool Support post-deployment monitoring, optimisation, and user feedback collection.Backup, restoration, and migration of user dataInventory management of IT assets including asset auditingCollaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to resolve complex issues Excellent verbal and written communication”,”identifier”:{
