Salary: £12.87 – £13.83/per hour (Depending on Qualification & Experience)

Job Type: Permanent – Full Time

Work Schedule: Office-Based

Hours of Work: Days, Nights & Weekends; 42hours/per week (rolling rota) 8am-8pm or 8pm-8am

Start Date: Immediate, but subject to satisfactory enhanced DBS check

(Company Name - Subscribers only) Ltd is looking for Support Workers for a residential adult care, to provide care in accordance with best practice and legislative requirements in this community-based service in Nottingham, NG8 supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities and autism. This role is aimed at supporting and enabling service users to maintain skills and personal interests whilst delivering person-centred care that is bespoke to each individual.

As a support worker, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring Service Users are at the heart of care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing.
  • Contributing to the efficient running of the serviceu00a0
  • Supporting Service Users to maintain their relationships and connections with the local communityu00a0
  • Ensuring Care Plans and other information about how to support Service Users are followedu00a0
  • Being responsible for informing the Team Leader/Nurse of any changes in the needs of Service Usersu00a0
  • Being responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they supportu00a0
  • Adhering to all Infection Control Policy and Procedures and to ensure that I keep up to date with my scheduled Infection Control Training
  • Developing effective working relationships with other employees within the client site
  • Working in cooperation with members of the multi-disciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for Service Usersu00a0
  • To seek opportunities for personal and professional growth
  • Having good knowledge of, and working within, the Fundamental Standardsu00a0
  • Understanding the regulatory framework that governs the service, including the role of CQC and their requirementsu00a0
  • Committing to achieving the relevant qualifications commensurate with the roleu00a0
  • Attending statutory training and any other training as directed by managementu00a0
  • Understanding and adhering to all policies and procedures relevant to the role
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ work experience in UK healthcare sector as a support worker with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities and autism in an adult service (Eessential)
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), and organizational skills.
  • Good leadership skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills for problem solving.
  • NVQ or RFQ qualification in Social Care – Preferrable.
