Special Education Teacher and Head Teacher (Term Time) – Nexus Preschool
Locations: Lucan
Starting from €34000 – €36000
Nexus Preschool is a specialist early intervention preschool catering to children with Autism aged 3 to 7 years. We provide a structured, supportive learning environment with a low student-teacher ratio (6:4) to deliver individualized education plans and promote meaningful development.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and deliver Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each child’s needs.
Create a warm and nurturing environment where children feel safe and supported.
Work collaboratively with the Behaviour Support Team to implement intervention strategies.
Support and encourage children’s communication and social skills development.
Teach essential life skills to foster independence in daily activities.
Engage in structured play and interactive learning activities.
Assist the Head Teacher in the daily operation of the classroom.
Participate in training and ongoing professional development.
Requirements:
Level 8 or 9 degree in a relevant field such as Montessori Education, Primary Education, Early Childhood Education, Social Care, Psychology, or a related discipline.
Must be eligible for registration with the Teaching Council of Ireland (Further Education Section).
