Overview
We are seeking a skilled Shop Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Carpets and Vinyl Management, with the ability to read and interpret schematics. As a Manager, you will be responsible for below:

Responsibilities

• As a Carpet Shop Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our retail carpet store, ensuring a high standard of customer service and operational excellence.
• Your primary responsibilities will include managing staff, scheduling shifts, and providing training to ensure a knowledgeable and motivated team. You will engage with customers to understand their needs, offer expert flooring advice, and facilitate the sales process from selection to installation coordination.
• Additionally, you will be responsible for inventory management, including ordering stock, maintaining display aesthetics, and conducting regular audits to optimize product availability. Your role will also involve budgeting and financial oversight, with a focus on achieving sales targets and maximizing profitability.
• As the face of the shop, you will cultivate relationships with suppliers, oversee marketing initiatives, and implement promotional strategies to attract and retain customers.
• Strong leadership, communication skills, and a keen eye for design trends will be essential in creating a welcoming shopping experience and fostering a successful team environment.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Shop Manager particularly Carpet Shops or in a similar role is preferred.
• Proficiency in English is required
• Familiarity with carpentry techniques and practices is advantageous.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics is required.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering quality work.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £30,960.00-£38,700.00 per year
