Title: Senior Buyer
Location: Central London Office (Holborn)
Schedule: Fulltime

As a Senior Buyer, you will work closely with the team leader to take ownership of high-priority accounts, collaborate with key stakeholders, and apply analytical insights to develop effective purchasing and sales strategies. This role requires a deep understanding of buying and project management, as well as strong relationship-building skills. You will play a pivotal role in optimising product offerings, ensuring high standards, and executing initiatives that support the sucsess of PURESEOUL and our brands.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Top Brand Management: Take ownership of critical accounts, managing all aspects of the client relationship to ensure alignment with sales targets and brand values.
• Purchase Orders: Draft, submit, and check purchase orders for your brands using our forecasting dashboard. Ensure accuracy by cross-checking details against current stock and resolving discrepancies before submission to maintain seamless inventory flow. Assist junior biyers with thier orders as and when needed
• Analytical Insights: Use data analytics to drive purchasing decisions, evaluate product and sales performance, and identify growth opportunities. Regularly assess sales trends, inventory levels, and customer demand to refine purchasing strategies for maximum profitability.
• Oversee Shipments: Work with the Junior buyers to oversee the smooth arangment of shipments for all brands
• Inventory Control: Work with the team leader and retail team to monitor inventory levels and sales data to make informed decisions on restocking, discontinuing, or adding new products for each sales channel.
• Market Research and Brand Outreach: Conduct market research and team product testing sessions to identify emerging trends, new brands, and opportunities within the Korean beauty market. Establish and nurture strong brand relationships through proactive outreach and effective negotiation. Secure favorable contract terms and maintain strategic partnerships that align with company goals.
• Project Ownership: Lead departmental projects, taking on ownership and stakeholder roles as necessary. Define project goals, oversee timelines, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful execution.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including marketing, inventory, and finance teams, to align purchasing activities with broader company objectives and support cross-functional initiatives.
• Purchasing Strategy Development: Lead the development and implementation of purchasing strategies, setting clear goals for product selection, inventory management, and supplier performance to support the company’s growth.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations teams to plan promotions, marketing strategies, and in-store merchandising.
• Quality Assurance: Work closely with the team leader and warehouse team to ensure all products meet our standards and comply with UK regulatory requirements.

Important to note:

• Frequent Travel Expectations: Although the job is primarily based in Central London, candidates must have the flexibility for both international travel and on-site work commitments. Travel may be required regularly, overnight, and on short notice for industry events, client meetings, as well as potential extended periods working from our West London warehouse.
• Team Collaboration & Flexibility: As part of a small and dynamic team, there will be occasional opportunities to assist with activities outside of core responsibilities, such as helping with store openings, supporting team events, or assisting with ad-hoc projects. While these tasks are optional, we really value a collaborative spirit and the willingness to step in and support each other when needed.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Strong passion and existing knowledge of the Korean beauty industry.
• Qualification in Business, Buying, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a buying, procurement, or related role, ideally within the beauty, skincare, or lifestyle industry.
• Demonstrated ability to manage key accounts and build strong client relationships.
• Proven project management experience, with the ability to lead cross-functional projects effectively.
• Strong analytical skills, with a track record of data-driven decision-making and sales performance analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Any level of spoken/written Korean is a plus (but absolutely not essential)
• Willingness to travel between central london and west London regulalry.
• Valid passport and good attitude towards international buisness trips
