Job title and organisation: SEN Teaching Assistant (EYFS) – Windmill Primary School
Salary: NJC points 2-6, £20,182 – £21,245 actual pay (pay award pending).
Hours: 36.5 hours per week, term time only
Contract: Permanent
Location: Windmill Primary School

Our schools are rated “Good” by OfSTED and we believe we are on an improving trajectory. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and energetic Teaching Assistant to work at Low Road and Windmill Music Federation and be located at our Low Road Primary School site.
Responsibilities include:
- To attend to the pupils’ personal needs, and implement related personal programmes, including social, health, physical, hygiene, first aid and welfare matters
- To supervise and support pupils ensuring their safety and access to learning
- To establish good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and being aware of and responding appropriately to individual needs.
- To promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
- To encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher
- To encourage pupils to act independently as appropriate
- To prepare classroom as directed for lessons and clear afterwards and assist with the display of pupil’s work.
- To be aware of pupil problems/progress/achievements and report to the teacher as agreed
We are looking for a practitioner who has:
- Good English and maths skills
- Experience of working in a primary school
- The ability to use their own initiative and a positive attitude towards school policies and procedures
- Commitment to supporting children’s learning and good behaviour
