A.T Donovan Limited are recruiting a Retail Butcher for Unit 8, Neilstown Shopping Centre, Clondalkin, Dublin 22

The role and responsibilities are as follows:
Manage and maintain the retail butcher shop, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
Prepare various cuts of meat including lamb, beef, and pork, tailored to customer specifications.
Provide exceptional customer service, engaging with customers to meet their needs and inquiries regarding meat products.
Demonstrate experience in meat preparation techniques and provide recommendations for cooking and flavoring.
Ensure proper food safety and sanitation practices are followed at all times.
Maintain inventory levels of meat products and inform management of any shortages or quality issues.
Assist in training junior staff on meat preparation and customer service skills.
Remain knowledgeable about various meat cuts, their origins, and preparation methods to advise customers effectively.
Promote specials and new products to customers, ensuring a pleasant shopping experience.
Essential Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience as a retail butcher or in a similar role.
Demonstrated knowledge and skills in butchery, including good knife skills.
Strong understanding of lamb, beef, and pork preparation.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
Desired Experience:
A pleasant and outgoing personality, capable of engaging effectively with customers.
A passion for food and the food industry, with a keen interest in meat products.
Proven record of providing excellent customer care and building rapport with clients.
