Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse for our client’s Care Home based in Derby.

Duties:

Providing care

RNs provide 24-hour care for residents, and may also supervise other staff. They work with a variety of medical conditions, including those associated with aging

Building relationships

RNs build relationships with residents, their families, and other staff and health professionals. They should be good communicators and have a comforting demeanor.

Ensuring compliance

RNs ensure that care plans are appropriate and meet regulatory requirements. They also ensure that medication is ordered and administered in line with policies and procedures

Supporting staff

RNs may support and supervise other staff, providing advice and guidance.

Liaising with other professionals

RNs liaise with GPs, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals

Supporting residents

RNs may help residents with food and drink, and ensure that they receive appropriate religious, cultural, emotional, and psychological support.

Infection control

RNs follow strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections.

Caring for the dying

RNs may care for residents who are approaching the end of their lives, setting up syringe drivers or giving additional doses of medication.

RNs should have an in-depth knowledge of long-term conditions associated with aging, and be able to manage complex multiple morbidities and frailty. They should also be patient and compassionate, and have excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.

Experience
Registered nurses (RNs) working in adult care homes typically have a background in general nursing, mental health nursing and learning disabilities. They may also have experience in creating home healthcare plans, treating bedsores, and managing healthcare records

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £500.00-£750.00 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Southampton: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

• Registered Nurse in Care Home or Home care: 3 years (required)
