Your Role
You will be responsible for assisting the Supply Chain Planning Manager to ensure that Production is planned in the most effective way possible to exceed the business requirements. You will provide planning support and advice to all areas of the business, impacting the ability to meet targets and continuously develop the Supply Chain processes.
Your Responsibilities
- Ensuring that current planning department processes and procedures are followed to meet business goals and suggest changes if necessary.
- Responsible for the day-to-day activities provided by the Supply Chain Planning Manager and can prioritise workload in the absence of the Supply Chain Planning Manager.
- Bringing new ideas and initiatives to the table to decrease manual workload, freeing up the planning department for larger project work.
- Making unassisted, informed decisions based on fact and knowledge of the business.
- Ensuring the production plan is achievable and scheduled in the most efficient way possible so that we can manufacture, ship and deliver on time.
- Co-ordinating with Sales, Engineering, Procurement and Stores departments to ensure all supporting activities for production are actioned to ensure production start times are met.
- Providing Epicor issue diagnosis and solution reports to the Supply Chain Planning Manager.
- Expediting operations that are delaying schedules and amending plans to allow for changes in demand.
- Assessing labour for short and medium-term requirements to enable the Production department appropriate time to put in place actions to support that demand.
- Undertaking physical shop floor checks to ensure the plan is being followed and to give support to Production.
- Chairing daily meetings between all stakeholders to ensure planning and resource communications are current and correct
- Supporting other departments when required.
Travel
Travel will rarely be required.
Your background
- Possesses excellent attention to detail.
- A driven logical thinking individual.
- Excellent knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Excellent knowledge of Epicor functionalities.
- Desire to learn more for the benefit of the department and business.
- Strong communication skills.
- Analytical approach to work.
- Able to work in a high-pressure environment.
- Good people management skills, team member and builder, with the ability to motivate and empower others.

- A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
- Epicor functionalities: 1 year (preferred)
- Production planning: 1 year (preferred)
- Microsoft Office: 3 years (preferred)
- ERP systems: 2 years (preferred)
