Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Pre-Production Team Member to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful preparation and execution of electrical panel assembly projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating upcoming projects, verifying technical documentation, maintaining inventory, and coordinating material procurement to meet production deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
o Review and analyse upcoming project requirements to ensure readiness for production.
o Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to identify potential pre-production challenges.
o Examine schematics and technical drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
o Verify the Bill of Materials (BOM) for completeness and correctness.
o Monitor and maintain inventory levels of components and materials required for electrical panel production.
o Identify shortages or overstock situations and take corrective actions.
o Check delivery dates and lead times for required products to align with project schedules.
o Place orders for materials, ensuring timely delivery to meet production deadlines.
o Conduct thorough reviews of incoming materials and parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
o Communicate with suppliers regarding discrepancies or defective items.
o Work closely with the production team to ensure a seamless transition from pre-production to assembly.
o Provide regular updates to stakeholders on material readiness and potential delays
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus).
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics and BOMs.
• Experience in inventory management or procurement is highly desirable.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems and basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, ERP software).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Additional Skills:
• Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and consistency.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with electrical panel components and assembly processes is a plus.
