There is an opportunity for a motivated Midwife to join the maternity education team. The role involves leading and implementing education, training and development strategies for Maternity areas. Using your specialist skills to support clinical staff both working clinically and by more formal training you will be involved in new educational initiatives, professional & clinical development and managing projects so should therefore possess excellent leadership and communication skills. This role will provide lots of opportunity for personal progression and development.

To implement learning from current practice through audits, datix, and feedback, to support improvements in care are made.

You will have the ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team of educators and multi professional team, and will line manage a small group practice development midwives.

The post holder will support student midwives, ensuring that the learning environment will support them to become a midwife and ensure they are part of the midwifery and multi professional team, this will be in conjunction with the higher education institutes.

You will be required to uphold high standards of practice, and be able to demonstrate areas of risk and mitigations through governance procedures. You will be required to present information clearly to required stakeholders.
