Reports To: Complex care Manager Salary: £27,664 (based on a full time contract)/£13.30 per hour

Job Summary:
The Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) Specialist Support Worker plays a crucial role in supporting individuals with a clear positive support plan to meet their complex needs. This position involves implementing PBS strategies to reduce complex behavioural presentations and enhance the individual’s quality of life. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, patient, and dedicated to promoting positive change.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide direct support to individuals with complex behavioural needs in various settings.
· Implement personalised PBS plans, following best practices and guidelines.
· Assist individuals in developing and maintaining skills for daily living, communication, and social interaction.
· Monitor and document progress, adjusting support strategies as necessary.
· Collaborate with the PBS team to develop and review individual support plans.
· Work closely with family members, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure consistent and holistic support.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of individual progress and behavioural incidents.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Previous experience working with individuals with complex behavioural needs is preferred.
· Good understanding of positive behavioural support.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
· Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to improve the lives of others.
· Valid driver’s license.
· Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From £13.30 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
